We want to say a big thank you to the producers and writers for making The Wait.
It was a very sensitive time we had traveling with each character through their hardships. The Wait was a genuine story…Thank you once again
~Worth Watching~

Delicious
—It’s always a nice breeze when you have an atypical script in Nollywood.
The Wait was a relevant narrative speaking to couples waiting for children, singles waiting for marriage, and youth waiting for jobs. It was great to include these different stories to provide a variety
—We have to commend the makeup and costume designers who grasped the mood of each character and prepared them accordingly.
For example, Tosan (Meg Otanwa) was always wearing oversized outfits, and had the same dead hairstyle and a somber face as she gave up waiting for a child
—The film had numerous encouraging lines that emphasized the need to wait on God to become more mature. There was also a good push to get busy instead of keeping eye on the issue.
We went through some emotional segments seeing the abuse, mockery, and deferred hope that people were going through.
Can we clap for the supportive husbands in this movie??? WOW🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾 They portrayed an amazing picture of what marital care should look like
—Our favorite actors were in the house: Deyemi Okanlawon (playing Tosan’s husband), Ini Dima-Okojie (playing Nkechi), Nse Ikpe-Etim (playing Dr. Nara), Mike Afolarin (playing Essien), and Chimezie Imo (playing Somto). We were pampered 🥳
We’re gradually falling in love with Meg Otanwa as she’s been wowing us with some strong performances lately (e.g. For Maria, Soole)

Bland
—What prevented The Wait from having a 5-star rating was the technicality. It was regrettably a big sabotage 😖
Sound engineering was weakly executed, consequently impairing the flow of the movie. The audio was unrefined and the volume kept fluctuating here and there…
—The camera was filming from the wrong angles and wasn’t enriching the narrative.
For instance, during the waiting room sessions, it would have been more effective for the camera operator to shoot from the middle of the circle formed by the members rather than circulating behind their backs.
Many crucial close-up shots were omitted that could have captured the characters’ emotions
—The editor rapidly cut lots of scenes & music and even went as far as to include sound effects that were irrelevant in certain scenes. Why did we hear a sexual moaning sound at the start of the party scene at the end? 🤦🏾‍♂️
—The concluding part appeared rushed, it wasn’t clear how Tosan and her husband ended up the way they did.
Who exactly was the young pregnant woman meeting Nkechi in different places? Some of these elements could have been better elaborated for a complete understanding
