~Worth Watching~

Delicious
—So, we have Bimbo Manuel (playing Tayo), Efa Iwara (Kolade), Richard Mofe Damijo (playing Ejiro), and Patrick Diabuah (playing Bassey) in one movie…uh, hello? No need to worry about mediocre performances. These guys always deliver!
The camaraderie between the late father Tayo and the driver Ejiro was so homey; we saw Kolade in all facets: fear, anger, happiness, addiction, gloom, vulnerability, etc; and the businessman Bassey was pompous with no mercy
—The editing was well carried out, especially the scene transitions and soundtracks that flavored the scenario
—Tosin Igho gave us a good sense of Ajegunle by showcasing the good, the bad, and the ugly.
The shaky movements of the camera during Kolade’s interaction with his friends and upon his arrival in Ajegunle accentuated different vibes of the environment that we were easily invited into the story
—The storytelling took us from point A to point B without confusion. Besides the call to be responsible, Seven sent a valuable note on Ajegunle through the mentally ill patient speaking to Kolade.
Outwardly, the neighborhood was obviously notorious with despicable residents but inwardly, it was rich with people ready to love, bond, and help if only given the chance. This is a message applicable to various areas of life

Bland
—Few continuity issues, e.g. the clock time changes when Tayo is speaking to Dr. Aisha; while Kolade waits for his dad at the racing arena, the ‘reserved’ sign on the table is oriented differently
—Being a speed junkie, we were looking forward to Kolade demonstrating some mad car racing stunts, however, it didn’t happen 🙁
—Minor production hiccups included the scenes shot inside the cars, weak audio, and dull fighting choreography
