There are some movies you know are going to be great just from watching the trailers and this was the case with God Calling.
BB Sasore, you were definitely inspired by the Holy Spirit because this script was so exceptional! So many layers included that placed God Calling above and beyond the typical faith-based stories seen in the past.

The fact that the screenplay touched on drug use from a rich woman’s perspective (i.e. Sade) was quite unique! Then, we had the inter-ethnic relationship which ignited father-son tensions, and the theme of depression was treated with so much depth, we were amazed as this is ground-breaking in Nollywood!
Did we mention that the movie was family-friendly???

The film motivated us to be obedient to the destiny God calls us even if it seems foolish in the eyes of men. The emotional and powerful lines delivered touched our souls, brilliant🤩
How can you not love the cast? Everyone deserved acclamations, a big shout out to Diana Egwuatu playing the little girl Lola; she proved that there are hidden kid talents in Nigeria. Seun Ajayi (playing Tope, Sade’s friend’s husband) had a small part to play but his cockinesssss was unforgettable 😀
First time seeing Karibi Fubara (playing Sade’s husband) on screen, he was confident, attractive, and vulnerable when needed to be.

Teeny weeny issues included the audio which wasn’t quite perfected; some scene sequences were incomplete and the cinematography could have been better refined.
Nonetheless, these didn’t stop God Calling from being an outstanding production; thank you Lord Jesus for putting this crew and cast together to make this wonderful film 🙌🏾
