Overall Rating: Nuts
First time actually watching the Aki & Paw Paw series and it was great to have veteran actors back on screen.
We were ready to explode with laughter and be thoroughly entertained, nevertheless, didn’t get much. A richer storyline would have tremendously helped

Delicious
—Mummy Nki (Toyin Abraham) was such a delight! She made us laugh with her extra drama and use of over-exaggerated words to convey the simplest message: like the time she was begging Aki & Paw Paw and repeated the word ‘please’ about 15 times just to make her point 😁
Andddd we can’t forget her super bright and colorful outfits 😅
—The chemistry between Samantha (Chioma Okafor) and Panshak (Uti Nwachukwu) was amusing, they completed each other. Panshak was the posh guy with his fake super polished English accent while Samantha was elegant and able to tame his exuberance
—The costume design team should be proud of their work!
—The movie did a great job highlighting the do’s and don’ts of becoming a content creator, the relationship between managers and celebrities, and the necessity to read and understand contracts before signing them

Bland
—The editing didn’t do it; the rapid cutting of frames and soundtrack frustrated the flow of the movie
—Sound engineering was a little weak
—The narrative seemed to be going in a circle. We saw Aki and Paw Paw work at the beer parlor, get rich, then later have little issues here and there; that was it. Chinedu Ikedieze (playing Aki) and Osita Iheme (playing Paw Paw) only recited their lines without feeling what they were saying
The theme of the dangers of wealth & fame was a little cliche
—Some well-known actors weren’t used to their best abilities, they appeared and disappeared such as Funnyboy (playing Ebuka), Juliet Ibrahim (playing uncle’s wife), and Blessing Jessica Obasi (playing one of Mummy Nki’s girl)
—Why hide the anticipated fighting scene at the end??? 😭
