Overall Rating: Ovation
When 93 Days first came out, there wasn’t much rush to watch it because no one wanted to be reminded of the Ebola epidemic. It was only a few years later that we braced ourselves and saw a movie that amazed us!

From the very beginning, the cinematography captured our attention. You knew something good was coming and Dr. Ada (Somkele Idhalama) lured us into the story.
Wish Steve Gukas could make more movies because he has such a unique directing touch; he was so careful about what he wanted the audience to know and carried us on a journey. We were literally transported to Nigeria, experiencing the agonizing pains and fears of the medical staff hit by an invisible evil.
Big applause to Somkele Idhalama and Alastair Mackenzie (playing Dr. David) for the fluid interpretations of their roles and we can’t forget Gideon Okeke (playing Dr. Morris)😀

93 Days provided us with the melancholic and tense atmosphere that comes with an epidemic: What happens when a medical staff becomes helpless? What to do when your health is deteriorating without a cure? What is the essence of leadership when fighting against a virus?

The costume and make-up teams outshined themselves, job well done! Yinka Edward, may you live long to continue to excel in cinematography sir!

A little tiny side note: it seemed like Chief Dr. Adadevoh (Bimbo Akintola) was kinda idle from the climax to the end of the movie.
She was just in her office, not actively looking for a solution or provoking people to take action about the crisis…But maybe it was intentionally done to demonstrate her powerlessness?🤔

Other than that, 93 Days is a star!
