~Worth Watching~

Delicious
—What an exceptional and unprecedented script! The mental illness issue was treated with finesse and brought another dimension to the story.
Trance was definitely a daring narrative as it exposed the scams of megachurches and we felicitate Vincent Vadakkan 👏🏾
—Fahadh Faasil (playing Viju) usually keeps the same facial expression in his movies but this wasn’t the case in Trance. He was unrecognizable as he impersonated a motivational speaker, a nurturing brother, a mentally ill guy, and a pastor.
Nice seeing Chemban Vinod Jose (playing Isaac Thomas) wear a suit 😄 We tip our hats to Dileesh Pothan, Vinayakan, Soubin Shahir, and Nazriya Nazim
—Round of applause to the costume and make-up teams who grasped the soul of Trance. Wonderful job on the location choices and set design
—Sound design was right on point; it was an ‘ear’-opener demonstrating how megachurches use sound to manipulate emotions

Bland
—Trance, regrettably, missed a 5-star rating due to the flow of the storytelling.
The first part was fluid, progressively setting different characters and unveiling the purpose of the plot.
Post-intermission, Trance became a bit overwhelming, too much to chew at once with the introduction of Esther and the quick appearance of the man supposed to be a pastor like Viju.
The businessmen’s fate at the end was a bit implausible, in real life, these influential people aren’t easily accessible by the common man. Towards the end, the scenes started dragging and contributed little to the plot
—Trance could have benefited from stronger lines to support the weight of its sensitive themes
