Sundari Gardens is one of those movies you can map out from the beginning; still, you watch it with the anticipation of being amazed, but you’re sadly not 😔

Delicious
—Sundary Gardens gently opened us to Suma’s (Aparna Balamurali) world, understanding her painful journey.
The introductory scenes gave us a good sense of Suma’s purpose to defend her students and stand for justice
—We’ll never get tired of saying this, it’s SO ENERGIZING to see a female-centered story in Mollywood!

Bland
—So, Victor (Neeraj Madhav) was introduced in the film as the new English teacher, yet, we never saw him teach.
He just kept on walking around the hallway, being conveniently located at the right places. We didn’t quite grasp his goal or who he was
—Music was ever-present and overpowering that it didn’t allow us to digest the serene moments of the plot
—The camera wasn’t completing the narrative, for instance, it didn’t zoom in at certain frames that we had to pause and get closer to the screen to analyze some important details
—The sequence of events was, for the most part, expected; nothing out of the ordinary.
We knew where Sundari Gardens was headed, plus the many coincidental moments detached us from the story, especially with the usual dialogues and acting performance
—Why was Suma’s library always empty?🤔
