~Worth Watching~
Delicious
—Oruthee may seem like an average story based on common occurrences but don’t be deceived!
Beyond the fraudulent jewelry store narrative, it passed a strong note on the injustice happening to the common man. In the words of one of the journalists “the fact that injustice is being encountered and tackled by injustice itself, it depicts the helplessness of the Indian democracy.”
This was demonstrated through Radhamani’s inability to find justice despite her tremendous hardships and SI Antony’s treatment in the hands of his superiors
—While watching Oruthee, you’ll surely have a full grasp of Radhamani’s busy life😓 I mean this lady was everywhere and anywhere: she was cooking, working, driving, dancing, calling, overseeing, negotiating, on and on and on.
The film had a good balance of quiet and vigorous sequences. One moment, we’re looking at SI Antony (Vinayakan) in an intense car chase, another one, it’s Radhamani (Navya Nair) doing a dance performance
—The movie will remain memorable due to the numerous pieces of advice we received on dealing with companies.
We’ll remember to always make copies of important receipts, not to rely on a spouse to take care of all the paperwork, and to be bold and courageous in face of adversity
—The actinggggg was 🤩 Don’t think it’s necessary to mention it!
—Give it up to the sound effects that put us in a thrilling mood!
—Another thing we forgot to mention was the omnipresent cellphone in the movie, from the boat passengers to Radhamani always using it. The phone was a symbol of the support system people have to connect with each other and expose injustice.
The color yellow was also everywhere from Radhamani’s bindi, her outfits, the lights, to the color grading. A symbol of pain, and that’s what we witnessed
Bland
—Vinayakan was shown sporadically that we almost forgot about him. and having many scenes constantly featuring Radhamani became a bit redundant
—Radhamani’s chasing scene left us a bit divided. On one hand, we saw her weakness in keeping up with the thief because she was running with a child, then on the other hand, it appeared a little unreal as she let herself distracted by her shoes, shawl, and bag…
