‘Michael’ was ok actually. As always with this type of movie, you already know what to expect as there’s nothing too extraordinary.
It was just nice to see Sundeep Kishan in a Tamil role after a long time and the interesting storytelling kept the show going

Delicious
—The movie was presented in a catchy way with the opening scene titled ‘After the climax’, then some scenes later ‘Before the beginning’, and finally ‘The beginning’.
Michael’s story was easy to understand: he came from a rough background and was already using weapons at a tender age to inflict pain on others.
Though he grew up in the underworld, he still stood up for justice; a man of few words with a lot running through his mind
—Got to give it up to the colorist team for properly setting up an antique look; the dark brown and yellow palettes highlighted the endurance and strong energy Michael (Sundeep Kishan) carried with him
—Kudos to the writer for crafting such powerful dialogues, we even picked up some quotable quotes😁
One of them was when Michael gave the following advice to a woman he just helped “Don’t ever beg for something that is rightfully yours. You must take it!”
Bland
—The dubbing, the dubbing, the dubbing was in tremendous pain😓 Starting off from Theera (Michael’s love interest) to other cast members, it just threw us off
—The special effects and photography were quite weak for an action movie. Some scenes captured inside moving cars were obviously shot with a green screen, plus the burning of cars/houses clearly appeared computerized
—We won’t spend time talking about the screenplay as it was a replica of many movies of this genre.
The acting, which could have saved the day, was flat across everyone. Sundeep’s chemistry with Divyansha Kaushik (playing Theera) felt odd like they weren’t comfortable with each other.
Our sweetheart, Vijay Sethupathi (playing a caretaker), could have been omitted from the script without making a big difference.
In general, Sundeep had the same face from start to finish making the movie unfortunately dull😞
