Delicious
—So grateful to the screenwriters for conceiving this superb story 👏🏾
The plot was very rich in characters and layers. It wasn’t just about Banke’s (Diana Yekinni) journey with the students but also about the school competition, Banke’s search for a better job, the school’s financial crisis, etc.
Our favorite people were the ever-sleepy student Rukewe (Kada Matthew), the ever-hesitant Vice Principal Goke (Wale Macaulay), and the arrogant Principal (Dakore Egbuson)
––Lunch Time Heroes was told in a fluid manner. The introductory scene was so inviting, gently opening us to Banke’s culinary world and funny interaction with her housemates. We had a good sense of each character’s nature
—The great thing about Lunch Time Heroes is that it focused on marginalized students and sent a message of hope and encouragement.
They are ‘no’ dumb students, they only need special attention and training to unleash their full potential
—Beautiful work on the music score, colorful images, costume, and set designs, in addition to the comic moments
—Diana Yekinni took charge of her role by steering the ‘ship’ very well. She was relatable, friendly, goal-oriented, and a humanitarian above all, the kind of friend you wanna have
Bland
—The audio, the audio, the audio wasn’t that refined 🙁
—We were all looking forward to the competition day as it was the main subject of discussion; yet, we only saw a few shots. Moreover, the students’ acting was a little average overall
—The screenplay took the typical trajectory in terms of Banke’s decisions and the chain of events at the school
