Delicious
—Eyes on the production set: from the lighting, art direction, sound engineering to the special effects. Wow! We got a white glove service. Meticulous work that deserves recognition
—The cast acted in the most genuine way; special recognition goes to Ama Abebrese (playing Zara), simply elegant and full of poise
—The storyline was very coherent; we were able to follow Lotanna’s journey and sympathize with his misfortunes.
We probably didn’t agree with the different decisions he took but understood his social limitations and hustle. So, what did we pick up from his life? Not quite sure actually🤔
—That ending scene, ah! It was authentic and raised many questions in our minds about Lotanna’s state…

Bland
—Watching Lotanna was like being served many delicious hors d’oeuvres without ever eating the main dish.
Being an eponymous film, the story only scraped the surface of who Lotanna really was; we didn’t have a feel of his musical aspirations, fears, desires, work activity, etc.
A more profound scenario was desperately needed; hopefully, we can look forward to part 2??
