Delicious
—The crew and cast must have had fun making this movie because it looked so relaxed and casual.
Kuri treated the dowry subject in a different manner than we’re accustomed to. The film opened up to the agony women go through when their families have to sacrifice so much to marry them off.
We saw desperate people resorting to desperate measures due to the disastrous effects of the bride price custom
—It’s always a pleasure to see Vishnu Unnikrishnan (playing the cop going for passport verification) take the lead 😀
—We appreciated the sincerity and humaneness of the main characters; they put their interests aside and genuinely worried about the plight of those suffering, a nice message for today’s generation

Bland
—Kuri was, regrettably, not presented in a smooth way. The screenplay started out very slowww and the hostage situation only got addressed after an hour of watching.
Our love for Vishnu Unnikrishnan probably kept us waiting that long
—Though the lesson that Kuri carried was powerful, the story, in general, was ok; nothing to really look forward to, no complex layers or production to make it gripping.
The ending scene appeared like a fairy tale when this is usually far from reality (no spoilers intended 🤐)
