Don’t even have the words to express the amount of joy and pleasure from watching Kasala!
All we can say is: “THANK YOU cast and crew for making such a raw and pure film about the life of commoners in a clean, extremely humorous, and relatable way!!!”👊🏿👊🏿
~So Worth Watching~
Delicious
—What we noticed right away was the raw and organic location sets. Wonder if there were even any changes rendered at all because the areas were as-is: tons of garbage on the street, untidy rooms, dirty ponds, gutter, moss, etc.
This really intensified the realism of the story 😀 When it came to the costume design, there was no extravagant or sophisticated clothing, the characters wore exactly what people living in these locations would wear either to show off or be casual
—What to say about the screenplay? An authentic narrative about everyday life elevated to higher heights. We could identify with the behaviors and aspirations of the four friends.
It was also original to feature a character who was going through something quite ‘particular’ (we won’t spoil anything). Thank you for including a parallel story that unveiled uncle Taju’s dramatic day as he was battered and ridiculed by the most influential 🤣
The flow of events was very understandable, climax adequately built, and ending spectacular. The comedy level reached to the sky, sincerely, we laughed till our heads hurt!
—Can we give it up to all the lead actors and supporting cast!!!! They deserve so many awards. Such a down-to-earth and unforgettable performance
—There was indeed so much trouble that these friends got themselves into, one important note was their solidarity above it all. Despite the pain, hustle, and bickering, they illustrated the power of friendship which is something we seldom see nowadays
Bland
—As noticeable as the raw locations were, the weak color grading was quite pronounced. The uncontrolled lighting distracted a little from the story
—Some of the camera lenses used (e.g. fisheye) were not too appropriate for the scenes
—Score editing was a little off in some sequences
