Kaanekkaane…hmmm…This story was quite traumatizing when the truth of the actual events was uncovered. We were taken on an emotional ride filled with anger, sadness, and pity
~Worth Watching~
Delicious
—Kaanekkaane was a great comeback screenplay for Bobby & Sanjay after having written recent okay narratives.
The plot was very well-conceived, seasoned with so much originality that we were just being carried away. The suspense was perfectly built that we didn’t wanna skip a scene
—Paul (Suraj Venjaramoodu) was so pitiful to watch as he was grieving, separated from his grandson, and trying to unveil what really happened the night his daughter passed away.
Allen, the former son-in-law, on the other hand, was this mysterious person we couldn’t decode
—Watching Kaanekkaane really taught us crucial lessons about life and relationships; our selfish ambitions were reflected through the characters, it was quite touching. Wish we could add more but don’t wanna be a spoiler🤐
—The score worked effectively to pull out our emotions, making the film very engaging
—Tovino Thomas (playing Allen), Aishwarya Lekshmi (playing Allen’s new wife), and Suraj Venjaramoodu were simply fabulous😃
Bland
—Overall, it seemed like Allen was given a lighter treatment by the screenwriters rather than addressing in depth the actual root causes of his behavior
—Dubbing wasn’t properly synced
—One major setback that couldn’t be overlooked was the image quality. Numerous scenes didn’t have a cinematic effect and appeared more like a documentary.
The cinematography lacked purpose in the camera movements, not really telling a story or creating the suspenseful mood
