Oookayyy…Joji took a long time to watch just because it was based on Shakespeare’s Macbeth.
This story already reminded us of our school days, so no thank you….Howeverrr, when you have nothing to watch, you reconsider some decisions.
And Joji was far better than Macbeth😃 It had a different flair and the concept was turned more ominous being shot during pandemic times
~Worth Watching~
Delicious
—What hit us at first sight of the opening scenes was the color grading. The all-around pale green set a mystic mood symbolizing envy, money (or in this case, greed), and deadness
—The set and costume designers worked in great collaboration to reflect the greenish-blue color in the decor and outfits
—In a single movie we had Baburaj (playing one of the brothers), Unnimaya Prasad (playing a brother’s wife), Fahadh Faasil (playing another brother), and Basil Joseph (playing father Kevin)…Uhhhh…that was enjoyment right there 🤩
Other unfamiliar faces like Alister Alex (playing Popy), Sunny PN (playing the father), and Joji Mundakayam (playing another brother) delivered a wonderful performance.
The exquisite acting took Joji to another level with the awkward looks and mannerisms
—The score played a big role in making us feel very uneasy
—Shyju Khalid: no criticism of his unique cinematography style
—Can we clap for the editor, please?
—What made Joji even more appealing than Macbeth was the plantation location and pandemic environment which underlined the themes of isolation, silence, and deadness in the emotional and spiritual senses. The writer really delved into the conniving nature of every character
Bland
too delicious to be bland
