With a title like Eesho, we were waiting for something grand as this was a heavyweight name for a movie; however, the story was regretfully going around and around 😞😞

(fyi, the movie isn’t faith-based at all)
Delicious
—The acting, the acting, the acting! We didn’t even have to worry about it because we had our favorite actors on set: Jayasurya (playing Eesho) and Jaffar Idukki (playing the security guard).
Jayasurya was creepy and really made us anxious with his awkward smile.
Jaffar, on the other hand, was lovable, cute, naive, and ignorant, so ignorant that he thought Bangladesh & Bengal were the same places 😆
A round of applause for Akshara Kishor (the little girl playing Shivani). She has a bright future in cinema!
—Eesho zoomed in on crime witnesses admonishing them to tell the truth rather than accept hush money.
The film stressed the sexual assault theme throughout the narrative (e.g. the story of the Bangladeshi refugees and the newspaper articles) by advocating the need for messianic individuals to render justice for the victims where law & order fail
—The cinematography, lighting, and sound engineering were works of precision and quality!
Bland
—With a title like Eesho, we were expecting so much: What’s gonna happen? What is Eesho gonna do? How are they gonna blow us away? Yet, the movie was narrated in a casual manner.
In the end, we wondered why the title ‘Eesho’ as opposed to another one. The character Eesho didn’t require such a heavy and reverent name as he was portrayed like many roles seen in the past.
Plus, the night scenes were quite lengthy, not really headed in a particular direction.
Eesho had the ingredients of a thriller but unfortunately dragged a lot
