~Worth Watching~

Delicious
—Thank you to the crew and cast for making this movie, we were really enlightened. We all know about cancer, but Diamonds In The Sky was intentional in explaining the details, symptoms, precautions to take, etc.
We saw three women of different age groups and statuses who made the narrative relatable: a dynamic young student with no kids, a middle-aged married woman with kids, and an older rich woman post-menopause
—Have to give it up to Omowunmi Dada (playing Teniola) and Bimbo Akintola (playing the married woman)👏
They stepped up their game. Compared to past films, in Diamonds In The Sky, they captured the spirit of their characters and almost moved us to tears!

Bland
—The storytelling and direction were, unfortunately, not smooth. The scenes didn’t complete each other; one story would cut abruptly and then jump to another one
—Cinematography failed to give us proper lighting to the point that some actors’ faces were darkened, for instance, when the university medical team came to see Teniola during her clinical admission
—We didn’t get to know each main character personally as to who they really were, their aspirations, or likes/dislikes; the entire plot started and ended with cancer.
Part of it was also due to the art direction which didn’t deepen the narrative😔
