Why did this movie receive bad publicity??? Sometimes it’s good not to follow online comments and just watch. So glad we went for Dear Friend😊
We had a good laughter, were entertained but also shaken. Matter of fact, we’re still recovering from the shocking truth of this story…

—Can we clap for the casting team?? 😀 They did a terrific job in selecting fabulous actors to play the 6 friends!
It was great to see Darshana Rajendran (playing Jannat) after C U Soon and Arjun Radhakrishnan (playing Shyam) after Pada.
Of course, who can resist Basil Joseph and Tovino Thomas?
First time seeing Sanchana Natarajan (playing Amudha) and Arjun Lal (playing Arjun), they were superb! The chemistry was so authentic: the pranks, dances, and enjoyment were great to watch
—The acting was purely and truly NATURAL. Tovino Thomas (playing Vinod) is an ace as we all know. We connected with each of the friends; their attitude was so familiar making us feel relaxed
—The director caught our attention from the very first seconds of the movie; there were no boring segments.
We were navigating with him, savoring every moment with the group of friends. Thank you for the scenes that introduced us to each character to know them better
—Moving on to the story, let’s just say it was very deep and distressing, to say the least; it revealed the inner heart of man.
We can’t go much into detail so as to not ruin it for you, but seriously, we were really disturbed. This story had to be told because it’s a sad reality…
—Good job on the overall production in terms of dialogues, lighting, and score
—What made Dear Friend special was the exploration of friendship: What does it really mean? What is the level of commitment? Or trust?
