Delicious
—It was exciting to see the cast selection on Crossroads’ poster. A special shout out to Gideon Okeke (playing one of the arrested men), he was unrecognizable and his fast speech was simply fantastic 😀
Damilola Adegbite (playing the assaulted wife) nailed the elegant and sassy madame role. Richard Mofe-Damijo (playing Detective Joseph), hmmm…Sir, you’re one of a kind!
Kehinde Bankole (playing officer Dolapo) and Seun Akindele (playing Detective Dare) were gigantic. Kudos to the rest of the cast!
—The dialogues were well written, with very deep notes on what true justice is and a big counsel on staying out of trouble. A good balance of comedy and instructions; Detective Joseph’s monologue at the end was quite inspiring
—Seyi Siwoku did a great job capturing the audience’s attention from the very start with a glimpse of the assault and an introduction of the police station’s atmosphere where most scenes would be shot.
Tension was effectively built to trick us so there was no way to completely figure out the actual facts
—One can argue that the color grading was a bit too vibrant for a thriller genre, but in Crossroads, it worked because it was controlled
—Visual and special effects were given a good treatment!
—Costume and make-up teams should be proud of themselves for the delicate and attentive work done on each cast member
—Thank you to Tunde Babalola for a gripping and authentic screenplay
Bland
—Crossroads, unfortunately, missed a five-star rating due to the explicit intimate scenes which sadly ruined the suspenseful vibe of the story
—The ending scenes at the senator’s house were lightly executed with no emphasis on the violence in order to excite emotions.
The dark room felt more like it hid imperfections instead of revealing a poignant moment
