Bharatha Circus was indeed a circus of politics where a web of people played games with the system for their own motives.
The movie started off in a very intriguing and complex manner then sadly became simple, losing its pace.
~Still Worth Watching~
Delicious
—What we liked about Bharatha CIrcus was the gripping beginning.
We saw Lakshmanan (Binu Pappu) very disturbed accompanying his unconscious daughter to the operating room; nothing much was said at that point which made us wonder what could have happened to this woman with red marks on her neck: Hanging? Strangling?🤔
The sequence of events fueled the suspense, it was more and more captivating when we were introduced to a fishy police station and Lakshmanan turned suspicious
—When it comes to acting, nothing much to say: Binu Pappu is a star, Shine Tom Chacko (who plays Lakshmanan’s friend), is a sweetheart, and M.A. Nishad (playing the SI officer) was brilliant.
They worked nicely together to produce an atmosphere of mystery and shadiness.
We can never ever get tired of Jaffar Idukki (playing a local member); he was cunning, vicious, yet hilarious
—It’s hard to talk about the themes addressed in the film without actually giving away the scenario😬
Let’s just say the story made a solid point about letting go of traditional values that prevent progress.
It was obvious that the people who discriminated were hypocrites as they only pulled out the discrimination card when situations were inconvenient for them while still benefiting from the discriminated ones
Bland
—Even though Bharatha Circus began in an impressive manner, it later took a simple and casual turn after the interval.
The characters, for the most part, no longer appeared complex.
We could actually figure out what was going on, the dialogues became plain, and the chain of events was no longer engaging especially when Anoop (Shine Chacko) spent a long moment looking for proof to help Lakshmanan.
—The absence of a parallel story made the movie a bit monotonous as it only focused on what happened to Lakshmanan’s daughter. It was quite regrettable because we were sincerely rooting for this film 😥
