What a beautiful music session we had with Waiting For You! Juliet was such a darling 🙂
Wished the screenplay could have mimicked the same elegance; the plot was rather plain, not bringing anything new to the table

Delicious
—So soothing to have been welcomed by a piece of music from the very first second of the film. Juliet’s (Ajumoke Nwaeze) voice just ushered in a calming atmosphere
—It was good to have a sense of each character’s personality through the costume design; Juliet’s denim and leather jackets showed her funky personality while her dad’s suits gave off a conservative and career-oriented spirit
–-Waiting For You was a good reminder to be determined to pursue one’s passion in order to be happy. Juliet was a great example of a person focused on her goal and not afraid to face opposition even when coming from her dad
Bland
—The cast selection was a bit shocking: Juliet’s mom (Chinonye Chidolue) and dad (Boman Bognet) looked more like her siblings, being too young for the roles
—Acting was a little ordinary; though Juliet was firm in her musical path, we didn’t see the passion during her stage performance or the moments she argued with her dad. The father, as well, appeared quite nonchalant, not genuinely emotional
—For such a poignant story as Waiting For You, we were waiting for strong dialogues, but didn’t get any 🙁
—The twist at the end didn’t do much service to the plot, had it been omitted, nothing would have changed
