Trying to look for a dictionary word to describe how grandiose Soorarai Pottru was…but can’t find any 😀 From behind the scenes to the front of the scenes, everyone worked 500% to make this movie excellent.
Endless praises to the cast and crew! A number of films have touched upon the themes of perseverance and ambition but Soorarai Pottru went to the extreme of extremes. Maara (Suriya) suffeeeeered to fight for his airline vision amidst the aristocrats who were skilled at discouraging and crushing him…
Frankly, we were writing down notes while watching due to the many inspiring and motivational dialogues. Soorarai Pottru was engaging in every way; one moment, we were cheering for Maara then another one, we were shouting “just give up Maara! It’s ok, you did your very best, this is too much agony and shame!”
An extraordinary screenplay! Bravo to the make-up team for an outstanding transformation of Maara over the course of time
One tiny minus was the heavy use of profane language which was overwhelming and didn’t add much to the plot 🙁
Other than that, Soorarai Pottru was regal!
