Scars was so relatable, well-told, and acted. It was really hurtful to hear Zino’s mother’s comments…
Thank you Miriam Dera for telling this story
~Worth Watching~

Delicious
—Zino (Tope Olowoniyan) and her mother (Harriet Akinola) nailed it! Their performance was convincing; the facial expressions of the mother’s viciousness and Zino’s insecurity were quite moving to see
—Anyone can identify with Scars; we’ve been around toxic people and know how it felt, now watching Zino live with toxicity every day! Hmmm…
—Scars did a great job inspiring us to accept and love ourselves; not as an excuse to be mediocre, but rather as a push to do our best and be content with it
—Lovedddd that ending, how Zino ‘shut the door’ (no spoiler intended 😐)
—In 14 minutes, Miriam Dera, the director, successfully invited us into Zino’s world to understand her internal battle; she told the story in a clear and straightforward manner

Bland
—Some of the voices were not that audible 🙁 The editing didn’t smoothly change from scene to scene
