Nna Thaan Case Kodu was a great illustration of the domino effect, how one pothole led to a chain of incidents causing havoc. We appreciate Ratheesh Poduval for touching on something so trivial yet very important.
The storytelling, on the other hand, was executed in a lagging way that required patience to follow through

Delicious
—Humor! Expect A LOT of odd humor at the most unexpected moments, humor in the dialogues and characters’ mannerisms.
Plus, Rajeevan, the former thief, was always struggling to find the proper sitting position due to having only one ‘buttock’ 😂
—Rakesh Haridas, the cinematographer, was talking to us throughout the movie. The camera was telling us who and what to carefully observe.
Sometimes when we were distracted, as soon as we saw the camera slowly moving closer or away from the characters/objects, we knew Rakesh was calling for our attention
—What to say about the acting? P.E.R.F.E.C.T.I.O.N. at the highest levels; from Kunchacko Boban to the witnesses in the courtroom, and even the background actors, splendid!
—Nna Thaan Case Kodu was filled with different characters who enriched the story, e.g. the artists performing at the religious events, the MLA’s entourage, the lovers in the autorickshaw, etc
—Let’s pause on the pigeons inside the courtroom 🤣 It was so funny how the judge was constantly trying to chase them away knowing full well they would come back.
They found a safe haven in the courtroom that’s why they liked being there.
This was a good representation of the way the common man must feel about the courtroom: a safe place where one can seek justice even against giants like politicians
—Showing the petrol price hike over the years was an ingenious idea to underline people’s challenges to keep up with rising costs while having little finances
Bland
—You need patience to watch the film because the story took a while to sizzle. Actually, it was around 45 minutes or so when we were ready to quit that the narrative became captivating
—Gayathrie (playing Rajeevan’s wife) was the only one who performed poorly; she wore the same facial expression and didn’t behave like a full-term pregnant woman with her quick getting up/down and walking
—The pace of the movie was slow with some exciting areas here and there; it was easy to get distracted at times. Maybe the director wanted us to feel the pace of Rajeevan’s life?
