Summary: When a fun-loving boy, Momo, learns that his family is traveling to Dubai to meet his dad, he has only one dire desire: Visit the Burj Khalifa. The reality on the other side is a bit complicated…

Overall Rating: Nuts
It’s always refreshing to experience a new scenery, i.e. the Emirates, and see children take the lead.
Momo in Dubai was a casual tale with everything happening normally. It was a story we’ve seen before, not too bad, not too fantastic

Delicious
—It’s undeniable that Momo (Athrey Baijuraj) is so cute 🥰
He was the typical naughty boy, yet, at the same time, loving. He liked to brag, play, wander, and could be very demanding, like his incessant request to visit the Burj Khalifa.
It was great to see Athrey being very comfortable in front of the camera. The rest of the characters supported him very well by giving him the spotlight
—We got the opportunity to experience the Emirates from the comfort of our seats through the tasty food, different cultures & activities, rules, sights, and seeing the hardships some immigrants go through.
—The lesson we took from the movie was never to let your social status prevent you from achieving your dreams. Momo didn’t care whether he was poor or rich, all he wanted was to visit the Burj.
As a result, his parents never discouraged him but still intended to fulfill his desire despite their low income

Bland
—There were a number of unrealistic moments that kinda drew us back, not sure if there were overlooked because it was a children’s story.
For example, Momo’s mother (Anu Sithara) didn’t seem concerned about the sanitary condition of their house in the Emirates.
It’s very uncommon for people to let a family with small children housesit their fancy home (no spoiler intended😑)
—Momo’s character was designed in a simple way rather than a memorable one. He was just the typical kid apart from the fact that he liked to sleep.
The screenplay didn’t have many exciting or creative moments; we watched the film, smiled a bit, and had an idea of where it was headed.
Surely, children will relish more Momo in Dubai than we did
