 😓😓😓
We didn’t have many expectations coming to watch Maruthi Nagar Police Station (MNPS) and the director, unfortunately, confirmed our feelings…The movie had lots of potentials if only it were better scripted, acted, and directed

Delicious
—”To take on the demons, we must become demons”.
That was the catchy phrase of the movie. Following the law is excellent, but what happens when the law fails you? You take matters into your own hands and MNPS showed how four friends coming together can accomplish great things

Bland
—MNPS could have been a massive thriller if only it sustained the suspense and better designed each character.
It was astonishing to see how the mystery was given away earlier in the movie.
So, here we had Archana (Varalaxmi Sarathkumar) coming up with a plan, and a few seconds later, every single bit of detail about the murder attempt was revealed🤦🏾‍♀️
When the twist happened, the story was already providing hints about the suspect’s identity to the point that we had already figured it out.
—No character was intimidating or intriguing. Shiva, Bala, and Aravindha were just standing or sitting throughout the movie without contributing much to the plan or doing something important in the film. They were just there…
—The acting was sadly inferior, it was more like you say your line, then I say mine; the friends didn’t have much chemistry together, and Arav Kizaar (playing an ACP officer) overpowered the tone of the film with his swag 🙄
—The score was loud and ever-present and some scenes missed logic, e.g how does a police officer openly meet a notorious gangster in a restaurant?
Overall, the regular vengeance theme didn’t seem really exciting to retain our interest…
