A story full of potential and good morals, Lucky Man started off on a great note but gradually lost the flavor after the climax. Such a bummer😔

Delicious
—Always a joy to see Raichal Rabecca (playing Devaina, Muruga’s wife)  and Yogi Babu (playing Muruga)🥰
Their interaction was so natural and they completed each other well: Devaina was the serious one and proactive in fixing the family’s numerous debts, while Muruga was the sarcastic one, cunning, and taking life with a pinch of salt.
Their son was a beautiful addition being hilarious with a straight face; he actually looked like he could be Yogi Babu’s son 😄
The rest of the cast did a fine job of providing the needed humor and carrying the story forward
—There’s no way you can leave Lucky Man without learning a lesson. The film was packed with advice on honesty, leadership, parenthood, forgiveness, etc.
It was humbling to see how unlucky Muruga was and the surroundings mocking his constant failures; yet, he still persevered in life.
And the engaging editing infused some levity to sympathize with Muruga’s misfortunes
—A powerful line summarized the overall message of the film “The mind is Lord Muruga’s abode”; i.e. how we guide our mind determines how we live.
Muruga’s choice to be sarcastic was a way to tone down his pain and his sharp decisions helped him tremendously

Bland
—Sadly, sadly, sadly, after the climax, the screenplay took on a non-captivating route during the investigation of the car as it was just dragging and going in circles.
Additional elements such as Inspector Siva’s love connection, though serving as a parallel story, didn’t blend well with the overall luck theme.
Hence, the flavor was lost and there wasn’t much to look forward to

As Lucky Man was director Balaji’s first project, we give him ‘A’ for effort and will be looking out for more of his work
