Overall Rating: Nuts
Jana Gana Mana’s exciting teaser deceived us greatly!! The interrogation scene was barely in the movie, turns out it’s actually part of the yet-to-be-released sequel 😣 Hence, the thrill was quite punctured.
The movie provided a good educational segment while the narrative and directing, sadly, didn’t carry us on a ride

Delicious
—Saying that Jana Gana Mana challenges our notion of truth is not an overstatement. You won’t see the truth the same way after this film.
Does receiving information from the police, TV news, or social media make it truthful? This is how Sharis Mohammed challenged us to think, read, and watch critically instead of following the multitude.
Featuring Gandhi’s quote was very appropriate, “In matters of conscience, the law of the majority has no place”
The plot contained amazing twists that caught us by surprise 😀
—No criticism of the cinematography and sound effects!
—Jana Gana Mana demonstrated that justice is not given but fought for. The film accentuated the wickedness of men to pursue their own interests while crushing others

Bland
—Jana Gana Mana had the ingredients to amaze but the way it was presented caused several issues.
Right from the opening scenes, the score was overpowering and the narrator’s voice sounded preachy rather than gradually inviting us into the narrative
—Storytelling oriented us in various directions, introducing several characters at once. Moreover, the final scenes stretched the scenario with superfluous details 🙁
—We were mostly spectators while watching Jana Gana Mana, not quite moved due to the acting.
Mamta Mohandas (playing professor Saba), Vincy Aloshious (playing a student), Suraj Venjaramoodu (playing ACP Sajjan), and Prithviraj Sukumaran (playing Adv. Aravind) didn’t seem emotionally and physically immersed in their roles; they regrettably appeared superficial
—Some elements of the story didn’t add up, e.g. an eyewitness was able to detect the face of a stranger while wearing broken glasses at nighttime just after a road accident
