~So Worth Watching~

Delicious
—Let’s just say that the writer’s brain must have been working overtime to come up with such a massive story!
From the very first scene to the last, we couldn’t map the chain of events. Why would someone want to confess murder at a police station and dare to take an entire police department to the crime scene???
We even gave up trying to figure out how the plot would unfold because there were so many turns and new developments.
Plus, the diverse characters (like an unknown pastor, Janaki with a questionable mental state, the SP officer, and a notorious CI) empowered the narrative
The suspense level was very high
—Cinematography was 👌🏾 Camera angles were used in an adequate way to make everyone appear suspicious like Janaki (Aparna Balamurali), the CI officer, and many others. We didn’t know who was who.
The repetitive aerial view of the forest where the crime had taken place fueled the mystery of this location
—Who was SP Ilavarasan (Harish Uthaman)? Harish really redeemed himself in this role by intriguing us with his behavior; we didn’t know whether he was a friend or foe.
He sublimed the character with his sarcastic smile/comments and composure, nice one
—Thank you to the director Sudheesh Ramachandran for not wasting time. The story already started simmering at 22 minutes, taking us into the meat of the plot with a good balance of relaxed and intense moments
—The movie was intentional in underlining Janaki’s boldness to go alone to the police station, shake the entire department with such news, and be ready to face the consequences.
As one person stated “She’s an example of woman’s self-confidence and every woman should be like her”

Bland
—Aparna Balamurali once again (or should we say many times again) displayed the same old facial expression from beginning to end😫
To the point that the chemistry with her lover felt odd and the romance fell out of place. She didn’t own her lead role but was overpowered by the supporting actors
