Amazing is an understatement to describe Gulu Gulu. The watching experience was massive; the dry humor, innovative character types, and different components were out of this world. We had a blast!
~Worth Watching~

Delicious
—How to even describe Gulu Gulu? Don’t be fooled by the trailer because it made the film appear average, which was far from the truth. Let’s begin with the character ‘Gulu’ himself, he was designed in such an authentic manner: a world traveler and lover of people.
Though helping oftentimes got him in a lot of mess, he still persisted as it came naturally to him. Gulu was so genuine and altruistic, honestly, the kind of friend you want to have
—The art direction elevated the story, Gulu’s car and residence were like museums: filled with many artifacts, world flags, and colors. One of the guys who asked for his help, Mathi, had a scientist house containing his late mother’s wax statue 😅
—How can we not be happy listening to some cool reggae soundtrack?
—The characters in Gulu Gulu were exceptional! Let’s start with the band of 4 older men named after islands: Sri Lanka, Maldives, Andaman, and Nicobar 😂
4 ridiculous friends who planned a mock kidnapping to make a statement, a multitude of people from different backgrounds seized in a truck for giving wrong information, and 2 sexual offenders named Useless and Rascal
—We’re really grateful to Rathna Kumar for thinking outside the box and scripting a story without the usual heroine or cliché comic lines. Gulu Gulu was purely rich in dry humor, highlighting essential lessons on benevolence, human treatment, and selflessness.
Plus, the screenplay had poignant dialogues and tons of layers that it was hard to get bored
—The supporting cast did such a wonderful job in raising the entertainment bar, everyone was a delight to watch
—It was quite significant when Gulu observed towards the end that a mass of people was fighting against each other; a striking proof of how humans always want to tear each other apart rather than stand united towards a common goal

Bland
—Minor sound effects, continuity, and realistic issues
—Santhanam’s (playing Gulu) performance was overall common, not memorable
