‘Goodwill’ left us in total shock: a troubling revelation that removed the need to rate this movie. We were traumatized…
~Worth Watching~
Delicious
—’Goodwill’ was a story that needed to be told and we thank Mannie Oisemoaye, the writer, for his boldness to narrate such an incident. It’s really hard to talk about the screenplay without giving away the suspense, so we won’t say much 😐
—The story had a nice play on the word ‘goodwill’. It referred to Mr. Goodwill’s name, Mr. Goodwill wrote a ‘good will’ for his children with words of guidance, and the movie’s closing statement was “God ‘will’ bring every ‘good’ deed into judgment”
—The film triggered our curiosity right from the start with an unknown man strangling Mr. Goodwill. Throughout the scenario, we were trying to figure out who and why would someone want to kill Mr. Goodwill. The director led us on a quiet path to destination where we were shocked by the revelation of the mystery…
—Let’s give it up to Wale (Mr. Goodwill’s son) who really moved us with his performance. He was weak and vulnerable, but also resolute
Bland
—The cinematography, unfortunately, didn’t do justice to the intriguing screenplay. The camera was moving aimlessly without enhancing the suspense that ‘Goodwill’ desperately craved. Additionally, images didn’t appear filmic
