Somehow we had LOTS of expectations for ‘Christopher’ especially due to its tagline “biography of a vigilante cop”.
But what we got was two and half hours of action music, a Mammootty-centered (not Christopher-centered) screenplay, and mass rape & femicide.
Frankly speaking, ‘Christopher’ kinda intimidated us from visiting Kerala with the high level of rapes and murders we saw 😨
The story was basically glorifying Mammootty (playing Christopher), the undefeated, edgiest, and perfect hero who always had iconic lines to throw at people like “I am the embodiment of destruction” or “there’s no creation or sustenance in my actions, only destruction”.
He was the ultimate defender of the weak and lowly while the rest of the cast just served as a frame.
On the other hand, it was sooo great to see agent Tina from ‘Vikram’ (playing SI Vadivukkurassi), Aishwarya Lekshmi (playing Christopher’s adopted daughter), and of course, Shine Tom Chacko (playing police officer George).
