~Worth Watching~
Delicious
—What struck us at first sight was the color grading, seriously, the colorist achieved a beautiful depiction of the midnight atmosphere that drew our attention to the story
—The cinematographer’s different angles worked so adequately as he wanted us to experience what the boy was going through. Where the camera was directed, our eyes followed, what the boy felt, we also felt
—Midnight Run is that type of movie where every detail counts and the suspense made us uneasy as we didn’t know what to expect from the mischievous driver and feared for the boy.
Bottom line is there are several wicked people we meet on a frequent basis, yet, it should never give us an excuse to stoop down to their level
—Is it worth talking about acting quality with Dileesh Pothan (playing the driver) and Chethan Jayalal (playing the boy) on set??? Always impressive!
—VFX team and the editor should be proud of their work, bravo
Bland
—Aside from the truck scene, we didn’t get to be transported into a deeper narrative or something powerful to take out from Midnight Run
—Teeny weeny concern was the toy that the little girl was playing with at the end; although it did serve a purpose in the story, however, it was a bit uncomfortable to see her using it at that age
