What You See was definitely a work of innovation that took us on a brief journey to experience an uncommon phenomenon. Cast and crew served us a beautiful dish that we relished
~Worth Watching~
Delicious
—It’s hard to talk about What You See without giving away the juicy details. The movie was subtle & calm with minimal dialogues, yet the dark color grading signaled something wasn’t right somewhere but we just didn’t know where.
Our curiosity kept us going, we had an idea in mind until the striking revelation was dropped before our eyes and we were just like 😲😲
—Actors’ performance was very organic. Wish we could talk at length about Rakesh (Rahul Nair), again we just wanna avoid spoilers. Let’s just say that Rakesh’s silence and the look on his face spoke a thousand words.
Actually, we even had to re-re-watch the film to digest more the story’s underlying messages
—One interesting element was the recurring sound of a fly buzzing in the background which was symbolic of the turbulent atmosphere when the couple argued. And it was ingenious what happened to that sound at the end…
—The facts provided towards the closing scenes were truly shocking, though the number was small in comparison to the ‘majority’, it was still significant and called for attention (no spoiler intended 😑)
Bland
What You See was quite special and nothing to criticize really; maybe it was our teeny weeny wish to have enjoyed it for a longer time; like a feature film in the future wouldn’t hurt 🤭
