My Dear Bootham, don’t we all wish we had a personal genie in our life 😀 The movie was a fresh story that removed us from our reality to follow Thiru’s magnificent journey!
Overall, it needed just a boost of quality acting to make it solid
~Worth Watching~
Delicious
—Ashwanth Ashokkumar (playing Thiru) did well; he was confident, petrified, and showcased several other emotions.
He was enjoyable to watch as the movie had the usual child-friendly atmosphere with lots of colors, music, and kids just being kids
—The dance choreography 👊🏾It was massively splendid!
—Though Karki the genie (Prabhudeva) fulfilled every wish Thiru had, there were still limits. It was encouraging to see that Thiru had to learn to surmount some challenges and fears on his own
—My Dear Bootham didn’t feature a villain! This was surprisingly innovative 😀 The film aimed more to show how Thiru could have all his wants met but had to work for his needs with Karki’s support
Bland
—There were a few unrealistic segments, e.g. the cave where Thiru fell in looked quite clean and tidy, and how did Thiru spontaneously get out of the cave? 🤔
—Despite Ashwanth Ashokkumar being overall impressive, he wasn’t consistent. At times, we could tell he was tired and not completely into the scene
—Visual effects quality was also not consistent
—Karki, regrettably, didn’t entertain us as he took on a more common approach to comedy with cheesy mannerisms
